why do you shoot people from distance?
ever tried to get close with a rangefinder and a 24 or 35 mm?
:iconearther:
I shoot them from i distance because i don't want them to be aware of me. The moment they do become aware is when i cease to take the photograph. There's something about capturing candid moments which i can't seem to get enough of. Not all of them are as far away as you think tho. The lens i use is a 35-350, so there are often time's when i'm within 100mm. But i must admit that when i am standing close to my subject, i use the opportunity to capture details which i can't get if i'm far away. I also carry with me a 17-40mm, but i honestly never like using it. I've tried shooting the traditional "street" image, and i have to say i'm not a fan, at least not of the frames i shoot. I guess i've always wanted my photographs to be more about the person in them rather than "the photograph."
=)
